Cora We know and love Timothy Snell from his Centric show Curvy Style and his impeccable work with some of Hollywood’s finest such as Queen Latifah and Angela Bassett. Now, the high-profile stylist is bringing us a summertime life-saver in the form of chic swimsuits made for women with curves.
Partnering with premier plus size swimwear destination Always For Me, Snell recently released a 24-piece collection ranging from size 16w-26w just for the woman who’s all about celebrating her body and swimming in style.
“Creating a swimwear line that makes a curvy woman feel confident in her own skin was a top priority,” Snell tells ESSENCE. “I wanted to create a line that accented the positive and create wonderful moments. Beyond that, It was important to me that my new line that could be worn at the ‘beach and beyond.'”
The style aficionado even offered up some handy tips for curvy ladies during swimsuit season.
“When shopping for new swimwear look beyond a basic black swimsuit,” says Snell. “Off the shoulder, ruffles, strategically placed prints on solid suits backgrounds, cut-outs, v necks, scoop necks, bold prints, color blocking and great hardware, and let’s not forget COLOR. All of these can highlight your different assets so don’t be afraid to try on suits like this.”
